Overheating

My 2005 X3 experiences occasional temperature warnings while stuck in stop and go traffic.

Has anyone else had this problem? Resolution?

Have checked fluid levels and they are Ok.

Could be a faulty thermostat. Definitely take it in asap and try to drive the car as little as possible.

Keep me informed on what the verdict is. Mine overheated the other day whilst waiting to go through the car wash, but has had no issues since.
