German Auto makers among the three worst brands...

Honda Accord, Shmonda Accord. Yeah, they are damn reliable cars, but you just can't compare them. My G35 Coupe is one of Japan's better "drivers' cars", but when it comes to driver-vehicle connection, BMW is still noticeably better. Even BEING in a BMW, I can feel the difference...a BMW feels like an extension of your body. I really wish I could say the same for my car, but it is just not nearly as "natural" to drive as the average BMW 3-series.

Really? They suck? Only negative thing I heard was it failed that "moose" test you guys have, but then they supposedly fixed it. What's wrong with it?

Ya the reviews I've read rated them as underpowered, harsh ride quality, low quality interior & low reliability. Best thing I heard about them was that in a frontal accident the engine is designed to crumple down under the car instead of into the firewall.

They were designed to bring MB cars available to the 'working man' but honestly, what man would drive one of those A-class cars.

Don't get me wrong I normally dig MB vehicles, the CLKs are sex on wheels & one of my dream cars would be the SLR *drool*

I will continue to buy German cars, BMW for the pleasure of the drive. I loved my MB 190E, Audi Coupe GT, but the BMW seems better.
I've had good luck with Honda, but boring, Nissan su*ks, Mazda (only had the Miata) was very good.
I am embarrased to admit to a few American cars, some I owned, some were company cars. I would NEVER spend my hard earned dollars on another. All the recalls, reliability!
Think long term. How will it look 10, 15 years from now?
German cars are destined to be a classic-they age very well. Look around and see all the older ones still going strong.
a lot of people don't care,as they lease. I would prefer to have a (potential) classic in my driveway, and enjoy a really fun curvy road, or a long trip in a car with some character (class)

But keep in mind that people who are in the market for cheaper cars would not complain as much about their cars and are usually not as picky about their car being perfect. They probably live by the quote.. "if I wanted a perfect car... I would have bought a more expensive one".

Buyers of high $$ cars demand much more out of them.. leading to higher number of claims and lower ranks.

But good thing BMW is not the worst.

Most of you would have to agree BMW's customer service leaves little to be desired. I'm surprised they didn't rake lower. I love my BMW to death, however the customer service (with exception to one parts salesman) tends to care less. I have had this experience with many dealers in my area not just one.
