Long-time poster in the E46 3-series section, now an X3 owner as well, so hope to see more activity in this section. [driving2]

Just picked up the new ride over the weekend, and it's a cream puff.

  • 2004 model, Jet Black.
  • 30,000 miles, 1 year left on factory new car warranty + certified preowned warranty after that.
  • Premium package.
  • Cold Weather package.
  • Xenon adaptive headlights.
  • Sand leather seats, dark wood trim.
  • Privacy glass.
  • 3.0 liter engine.
  • Panoramic sunroof (it's huge!).
  • Power seats, with keyed memory.
  • Automatic windshield wipers.
  • Headlight washers.
  • Heated seats, heated side mirrors, heated windshield/headlight washer jets.

Thanks guys!

By the way, is it worth $1,800 to purchase "extended maintenance"?

The dealer said "It's a no brainer, it will pay for itself with a brake job." I
said "no thanks."

Me and $1,800 have a hard time parting. [:)]

If you plan on keeping it for multiple years, I always think it's worth the extended contracts. A few years back, my Mom bought a Starmark Mercedes E320. She opted for the extended maintenance plan. 3 years into ownership, she needed a lot of repairs, and the contract paid for itself easily 2x!!
