ipod in X5

Hi
My X5 has AV in/out sockets at the rear of the centre console - is it possible to connect ipod through it and play tunes via the AV input on TV mode? Has anyone tried it, or am i wasting my time? Fancy a Dension icelink, but that's an expensive option if this simple solution will work.......

I am not 100% certain, but knowing a bit about A/V I would say yes. There must be a mode you can select on your system to listen on those connectors, no? Is there an AUX or AV or something like that?

What kind of connectors are the sockets? Are they RCA jacks? If so, then get an adapter that has the small plug on one end and RCA jacks on the other, plug the plug into your ipod headphone jack and the RCAs into the audio in on the back of the console and see what you can hear. Switch through the modes on your system until you hear that ipod playing away.
